THE ACADEMY
12-Month Membership £498
The Llanwern Golf Club Academy Membership has been introduced for those looking to make the step up to join a golf club but have not yet attained a handicap, or do not feel ready for a full membership. The academy provides a year’s opportunity to meet and play with others in the same position, make improvements to your game within a regular coaching programme, whilst having access to the golf course.
Membership to the Academy runs for a 12 month period, with the aim of getting you to a level of on-course competency which will allow you to progress on to full membership of the golf club at the end of your year.
Academy members will receive the following:
6 x half-hour individual golf lessons (to cover all aspects of the game) with our PGA Professionals
5 x 1-hour group lessons
A one-hour on course playing lesson
Rules and etiquette sessions
Access to the golf course during off-peak times (these vary throughout the year, check times with pro shop)
Regular academy member roll-ups
Full use of the clubhouse facilities and social events
Academy members receive a bag tag that must be displayed clearly at all times and have full access to the club’s booking system, but they must come and check in with the pro shop before playing. Regular group lessons and rules seminars are organised exclusively for the academy members throughout the year, as well as a structured coaching program. At the end of the year playing standards will be reviewed and academy members are invited to become full members of the golf club.
On joining the Academy, members will receive a bar card entitling them to discounted food and drink in the clubhouse. It can be topped up (minimum £20) throughout the membership year. Members have full access to the club’s facilities and are warmly welcomed to all the social events along with family and friends.
Membership of the Academy is open to anyone with a desire to improve their game in an effort to progress onto full membership of the golf club. It is also a great opportunity to meet like-minded golfers and become part of a thriving, friendly club.
